Learning through Adaptive E-learning Methodology

revolution in bloom's taxonomy

An experimental research was conducted ...
in 2015-16 and published in 2019 by S.Hubalovsky, M.Hubalovska and M.Musileka at University of Hradec Kralovem Czech Republic.  Data was collected from one school in Upice. 52 students of third class were selected and divided in to two groups. One group consisting of 26 students was declared as controlled while other group was declared experimental group. Then the pupils were given exercises ranging from low cognitive knowledge to higher one.

Previously Bloom’s Taxonomy is used as reference for learning programs which stated that learning at higher levels require learning at lower levels that are considered as pre-requisite.

This research is different in a way that authors have found that Blooms’ Taxonomy does not hold ground when it comes to e-learning. They used games as method of adaptive and came to conclusion that adaptive learning can be introduced at primary level and lower level skills does not affect learning ability of a person to acquire higher skills.

Adaptive e-learning like gamification has revolutionized the way of acquiring knowledge it is so powerful that learning ability does not require passing stages of cognitive development.
